Today's a good day

Obvious from the heading, I had a pretty good day despite bringing a swollen right eye to work. Sobz.

For those of u hu noe, my right eye is pretty much out of shape now. Hafta stay out of contact lenses for a while, n so I went to work wif my specs todae. Do I look veri different? Maybe. Becoz some of my colleagues cldnt recognise mi. =X

The reason which made mi happi todae though was not becoz I enjoyed being the centre of attraction wif everione asking mi y I wore specs todae but becoz I met a client for the first time! It was so impromptu. The client was here for the auditors n so he brought along the document I had sent to him as well. Kinda got a shock when the reception said a gentleman was here to see mi. For a moment, I tot Bui had come wif a bouquet of flowers. Muahaha. Aniwaes, so the client was realli nice n he gave mi his name card but being my first time mtg a client, I went without bringing my name card. So embarrassing. Had a brief chat wif him b4 I headed bac to office n decided dat I shd bring him one of my name card. So dat marks my first encounter wif a client. First 'breakthrough' in my job. =)

Eye was painful so came bac earli. Reached home at 7 n took a nap immediately cuz I was wiped out. Woke up at 8, took a bath n had dinner. Good soup n dishes plus fave TV programme at the stipulated 9 pm iz always enjoyable. Datz y I like coming home earli. Juz too bad I dun get alot of such chances.

To all my frens hu r having exams: Work hard n lets play hard tgt after all the papers! Hang in there!!

I m so dumb. I brought work home to do but I did not rem to put in the correct file into my thumbdrive. This sux totalli.

The past week was busy. Wats new. Met up wif Team PooH gals n had a great time. Sat by the river n chatted - how relaxing dat was. Complained to one another bout our work, two auditors vs one tax agent. Haha. After hearing the nature of work from the gals, I m even more convinced dat I m not suitable for audit. I guess I made the right decision. While I told Jun veri few ppl realli knew wat they wanted to do, she said, "Maybe like u, u realli wan to do tax juz dat u die die dun wan to admit it." Haha. I laughed upon hearing dat. Maybe its true.

Went to Timbre wif the Pandan gals. Was it last last Fri? I dun realli rem. Time seems to pass so quickly, it zooms in fact. I m eagerly looking forward, excited to noe wat will happen in my life next, but at the same time traumatised how time flies. But aniwae, the theme for dat nite was stripes! Haha. Shuwen even bought a new top for the nite, since she cant realli afford not obeying the theme animore or else she wld haf to bring a guy to our next outing! Haha. So here r some pics which caught the veri unglam side of mi, not dat I care, but yea, I find the pics funny somehow.

Thru thiz pic I realise n finalli understand. I do look dao when I dun smile. In thiz pic, I wasnt pissed or anithing, I juz wasnt smiling n deciding which piece of chicken I wanted. Maybe I shd make a conscious effort to rem to smile.

Of late, Bui has been harping on how I shd spend more on mani- and pedicure, accessories, handbags etc. He xian2 qi4 mi!!! Hahaha. No lar, Bui doesnt mean dat. He juz wanna me teng2 myself. But the thing is, I guess I m realli a lazy gal. I find bathing a chore, the three steps a day iz a chore too, n erm, sigh I havnt trimmed my brows b4. Muahahaha, I noe. Some of u may haf exclamation marks on ur head when u read this, but yea, datz mi. Maintenance iz not realli on my dictionary, though I realli nd it to be now. Ohh, watever.

The next thing I m looking forward to iz 8 Nov, cuz its a public holiday. Juz as I tot it iz thiz coming Thurs, I checked the calendar n realised dat itz next Thurs. Alrite, one more wk of stretching my neck den. In any case, I haf taken 9 Nov off a long time ago. Was supposed to go to Bangkok wif Bui dat wkend, but due to mani unexpected circumstances, the trip iz postponed indefinitely. We got down to booking the tics one day too late - the price rose like crazy. Jan 2008 sounded realli good except dat I haf training at the beginning of the month n Bui has two weeks reservist in the middle, n his fren iz getting married earli Feb, so therez no available wkend to go. Hmm.

Sooooo tired, though I slept more than 10 hrs for the past two days each.

Here comes a new week, which oso means I m one week nearer to 31 December 2007. Jiayou Iris! Come 1 Jan 2008, I can officially take a good break!

Juz bac from bbq at NTU wif the Archery guys. It was fun. Gatherings wif the Archery folks r always great.

I realised despite mi thinking dat I wld not miss NTU, I was wrong. I miss the frens no doubt, but I kinda miss the environment which brought us tgt too. Hmmmz.

Okie thiz iz random but I realli got to realli sit down n get a proper post done. Recall the week n stuff.

Bui says my facebook pet is as guai lan as me. N I haf to agree, sadly. I kept feeding Elphy (my pet elefant), onli to receive responses like "Gross!", "Nah, its food, cant complain", or simply a sad face. Its wasting my munnies, n my tender loving care!!! *Angry*

Bui says I finally get a taste of my own medicine. Now I noe I actualli m so hard to deal wif. Okie. Haha. N now Bui not onli has to take care of me, but my pet Elphy. He promised to help mi pet n feed Elphy. He juz got spurned earlier in the nite too. Haha.

Work's been busy. But I m glad. Been learning alot. Realli glad I chose tax. Its not as boring n dry as everione says, cuz after all, itz an expertise! After being in contact wif mani ppl, I realised it cant be taken for granted dat everione noes tax, juz like not everione noes accounting.

Hmmm, juz wanna enjoy the here n now. After all, its a blessing to be enjoying my job. =)

TIME

Time. I haf lost track of it since I m not sure when. Time flies past mi. Time passes so fast A Friday arrives b4 I fully digested the previous one. Time is passing so fast it scares mi.

Time. Sth so precious to mi now. I wish I haf time to take a longer rest, time to read my magazine, time to trim my nails slowly, time to watch my fave drama, time to reflect on the mani things happening ard mi.

I wish there r more than 24 hrs on Saturdays, for so so mani reasons. Saturday is my fave day fo the week, becoz its the day I get to slp in a while longer, the day I get to spend real time wif Bui. As I was counting dat day, the time we spend tgt each week hardly adds up to 10 hrs. Haha. The time we meet up each time juz isnt long enuf for mi to warm up n start talking. Those times when I managed to, it was time for us to say goodbye.

Life's been so hectic I havnt been releasing myself. I havnt had the time to think.

Learnt bout a piece of news todae. By rite, it shdnt haf much impact on mi. Not now at least. I guess I was pricked; knocked to my senses by the piece of news. Sth I was once told wld nv happen happened. It was a weird feeling.

I guess ppl change. We all do. I haf changed, so much I feel I m a completely different person. Well, I guess its for all the better. Man, wat is happening to mi? I tot PMS was over. Darn I haf such rotten luck, not onli do I haf pre-MS, I haf post-MS as well.

Stress level is high. I wish u wld understand. Understand the way I nd it to be.

YAWNS

I wanna sleep. But I cant. I am still stuck in office, not on my own will, but becoz I realli do haf work to get out. Got chased for work by so mani ppl todae. Its all the fault of the 4-day course.

I tink I sprained my arm. Been hurting since yesterdae. But the thing is, I dint carry ani heavy files yesterdae.

Alrite, gonna get bac to work. I wanna get out of office by 9 todae. Wish mi luck.

Thiz iz juz great. I wld be having training from Wednesday to Monday. Full-day training. I m so looking forward to it. Yah rite. Man I m dreading it from head to toe, can u imagine how much backlog of work I wld haf?? Goodness gracious.

Itz when u dun haf the time dat all the work comes. Together.

Itz been so long since I last sat down n reflect on everithing. Busy, too busy. Excuse. I enjoy the times when I wld blog bout how I feel everidae; I was a more organised person den. I was able to be wat I wanted to be. Seeing myself in a different light - I so love dat feeling. Being able to do wat I wan n wat iz right, dat feeling iz indeed veri pleasing becoz, after all, itz the right thing. N the right thing brings wif it the right results.

So much seem to haf happened lately. Yet nothing seems to haf happened.
