Successfully went thru the first day of work. Hurray!
I set off from home 10 mins later than planned, got on a bus n due to the jam, the bus trip was 10 mins slower than it wld haf been without a jam. Nevertheless I reached KPMG at 0850hrs, a nice 10 mins than the stipulated arrival time. Did some orientation thingy, den went off to rot at my table for an hour b4 someone finalli came along to entertain mi.
My seat iz one among a four-cubicle square, wif mi being the onli female. Thiz iz becoz my seat was previousli taken by a guy. Hmmm. Well, at least the guys r nice. Hope they will be kinda chatty so dat I will haf someone to tok to.
Did nothing all day todae. Hate such times. Of coz, a few days later maybe I wld take bac wat I juz said be I wld be mugging my head off in the tax computations. Arranged to meet Bui after work, but Bui had to do a lil OT at the last min, so I stayed in office till bout 6pm, n the two guys behind mi tol mi to quickly go off, becoz thiz wld be the onli chance I got to go off earli. Haha. How sad iz dat. Btw, my office hours r 0830 - 1730 hrs.
Onli my first day at work, I oredi experienced the partner gathering everione in her office for a meeting. The content was not sth to marvel or look forward to; she had toked bout the rate we got our cases out, dat thiz period of time was wat she called "SUPER-peak", n how we ought to stay back n get our work done instead of running home at 5.30pm sharp. Bubbles of "OT" came bursting on mi den.
Dat aside, my feet r so SORE!!! Sobz. I haf fat feet. Or rather, I haf slim feet in the morn which seems to blow up in the evening. I cant imagine having to be in covered-toe heels all wk! Felt realli glad to c Bui after work, though I was so hungry while waiting for Bui I tot I wld faint. Heez. Had a nice time complaining to Bui bout my blisters n of coz, a nicer time listening to him comfort mi. Haha. So nice to haf my bear ard. ^_^
Went for dinner at Food Republic. Dint haf much appetite though. Bui had wanted to treat mi to Ding Tai Fung but I rejected his kind offer, becoz I dint wan him to spend the money. I m such a gd gf yea? Muahahaha. We chilled at Starbucks after making a fruitless trip to Takashimaya, where we tot the Mitsubishi Road Show was on. Working life sux, becoz while I was at Starbucks, I kept watching the time cuz both of us had to work the next day. Booooo.
