SAME COLORS

Bui n I wore the same color combination todae. White top n brown pants. Juz the other day the same thing happened. I love it when such mo4 qi4 occurs. ^_^

Buidi has caught a cold. His nose was red when I saw him. Poor Bui. Hope u r slping soundly n resting well now.

Work's been hectic. Returned home pretty late yesternite. More to come.

FIRST OVERTIME

I worked OT todae. I worked till almost 8pm b4 I left office. Had wanted to stay longer, but was too hungry to. When I reached downstairs, I realised it was raining cats n dogs. Datz the thing bout working - u dunno wat goes on outside.

Attempted to flag a cab but to no avail. Took a bus home n was sort of drenched. Hmmm, my first taste of OT. Erm, it dint feel too good I muz say. Haha. The onli consolation was dat the partner was still ard.

I juz got a case from the other Tax department. Apparently the other dpt transferred a whole portfolio of cases over, n the allocation was out a few days bac. I got one case. The senior sitting behind mi said congratulations to me n i said, "I got one onli wad." Den he replied, "Dun u wonder y ur case needs two preparers??" I was like, okie.

So todae we went to tok to the person hu was previousli in charge of the case, n erm, juz the query files, there were 5 files. The computation itself was half a centimetre thick, if not thicker. I cld onli imagine the number of schedules I haf to come up wif, n the amount of OT I haf to do. My assistant manager tol us to be prepared to camp in office. Datz great. *Sweat*

Tmr's FRIDAY. Time flies. It felt like juz yesterdae when I was shaking my leg watching TV after I got bac from work. Dat was last Thurs. Hmmmm.

Resolution for tmr morn: Not dread waking up, cuz its FRIDAY. =)

I dun like looking into the mirror now becoz my face iz super roundie round. Sobz.

FOOD ALERT!

I had a realli good dinner juz now. Enjoyed it thoroughly, despite the discomfort in my stomach. Spagheddies was having thiz realli good deal for UOB cardholders. The deal went like thiz: Order an item from Mama Specialties or Sizzlinies (not sure if the spelling iz correct) and get a pasta at $1!!!!! Iznt it a veri good deal?? Of coz, we cldnt bring ourselves to miss the fantastic deal.

Bui n I ordered a Seafood Sizzlelini n a Chicken Canelloni. It was absolutely delicious!!! The meal originalli cost $50 but we paid onli $31.50 for it! Dinner was great, courtesy of Bui. =)

FOODLY SPOILT

I m spoilt. In terms of food dat iz. Todae's dinner was simple yet it leaves a twingling sensation on my tongue wif mi craving for more of it even b4 I even cleared my plate!!

It was a simple meal - fried prawns wif oyster sauce, veg wif fish slice, fried egg n huai san soup. Hmmm. The prawn was fresh, but the real luxury was in the gravy. I cld juz drink it alone! Next was the veg wif fish slice. The fish was the highlight, n the gravy juz had thiz kick in it which was (my guess) brought bout by the hua1 diao1 jiu3!!! Even my usual fave fried egg paled in comparison beside the two dishes. Soup was great too, n I devoured the tang1 zha1 like I always did. ^_^

I guess I grew up eating good food. I dun mean food like bird nest or shark fins, but delicious food which r cooked wif much love. Both my paternal n maternal grandparents r great cooks, n I eat tasty food since young. So much so dat I m critical n picky at times. Not outside of coz, u cant expect much from food wif MSG. Yah, datz y I was in the TAF Club in primary sch. Keke. A glutton from young, datz mi.

Work was great todae, muahahhaha. Becoz my feet dint hurt! All thanks to the new pair of heels I bought; it dint juz get rid of my pain, it brought mi comfort!!

My stomach iz not too gd though. I m so bloated wif gas I think my stomach iz gg to explode. HELP.

To track bac a lil, Fri was Community Day n I muz say I had fun during the event! I cldnt help but feel a pinch of sourness in my heart when I saw the kids. Had I not known dat it was a special sch b4hand, I wldnt haf noticed anithing from the kids. How sad can life be? I admire the teachers working there becoz they were all veri patient, n they did a good job educating the kids. The kids were so obedient I was kinda taken aback.

In the evening Bui last min had tickets to watch the fireworks from the floating platform, n my was it spectacular! The music dat went wif it was awesome too! Finally, I watched fireworks wif Bui again. =)

Yea todae iz great. Heez. Cuz the TV programmes r. Last episode of Honour and Passion at 9pm, followed by season finale of Desperate Housewives Season 3 at 10pm!! Haha. I tol Bui last wk I wldnt wan to meet him todae. I wan to be all freshened up n watch my TV shows comfortably at home! Hahaha.

Every morning when I wake up, there is onli one thought in my mind. N its always the same thought. I visualise n recall the luxury of waking up n falling bac aslp straight. Each morning, I wish its Saturday morning.

M I ever gg to get used to waking up earli? M I ever gg to haf a body clock which almost everione else has? Not dat I mind not having one, but it certainly brings much pain in the morning! I m such a pig. Oinkzz.

No Work Tmr!

Okie I got to retract my words. I got my first job todae. I had two in fact. Congrats to mi! Heez. But dat oso meant my OT started. Did a lil OT oredi. I can somehow picture wat iz ahead of mi becoz I m oredi starting to feel the pressure.

I m bac to not noeing wat to write. Great. All I haf r veri random thoughts. I guess after a day of work, I dun realli wan to use my brain animore.

Ooops I did it again

Yes. I did it AGAIN. I boarded the wrong bus, yet yet yet again. Wat iz wif mi these days? I honestly don't know!!! Realised my mistake a lil too late but luckily I was in time to get off the bus n go take the MRT instead. Had wanted to take a cab, but since there was no cab n I had to walk all the way to Outram Station to catch a cab, I decided to juz take the train since I was kinda earli. Still reached office in time, in fact I was 2 mins earli for work. Crisis adverted at least. *Phew*

As expected I did nothing much todae, so I spent some time looking at the calendar trying to plan my leave. Therez no carry-forward system at KP, so we all haf to clear our leave by the end of the year lest it gets forfeited. Hence I haf oredi come up wif a few days for my leave! Haha.

Second day of work went past smoothly. Did no tax-related work again, instead helped out wif stuff for the Community Day which iz thiz Friday. Speaking of Friday, I m realli thrilled becoz I dun haf to wakie earli dat day. We dun haf to work on Fri, but nd to reach Lau Pa Sat at 1030hrs to catch the bus to the school in Boon Lay, where a mini-carnival iz held for the kids. Looking forward to it. Still remembered the time bac in JC when I was in Mentoring, n we brought kids from one sch to the Zoo. I enjoy such events.

It appears I wld be slacking for at least two more weeks, or until I m allocated my own portfolio. As of now, everione iz so busy no one has the time to coach mi aniwae. I m kinda worried of how time will pass. I hate having nth to do n having to pretend I haf sth to do. Besides, there iz the timesheet thingy. I wonder when I will start having chargeable time. Of coz, I shd savour everi bit of my 'honeymoon' now, as in a few wks time I probably wld wish I haf nth to do instead.

I felt veri sleepy towards the end of work todae. I m oredi missing sleeping in late. Sighz. Each morning I think of the times when I can sleep till noon, n I so wish I can juz close my eyes n get bac to Lalaland. SOBzz.

Tmr's Wednesday. I like Wed becoz itz the middle of the wk, which reminds mi dat two days haf passed n there r onli two more days remaining for the week. I m an optimist, for I do not regard Fri as a working day. Heez.

FIRST DAY OF WORK

Successfully went thru the first day of work. Hurray!

I set off from home 10 mins later than planned, got on a bus n due to the jam, the bus trip was 10 mins slower than it wld haf been without a jam. Nevertheless I reached KPMG at 0850hrs, a nice 10 mins than the stipulated arrival time. Did some orientation thingy, den went off to rot at my table for an hour b4 someone finalli came along to entertain mi.

My seat iz one among a four-cubicle square, wif mi being the onli female. Thiz iz becoz my seat was previousli taken by a guy. Hmmm. Well, at least the guys r nice. Hope they will be kinda chatty so dat I will haf someone to tok to.

Did nothing all day todae. Hate such times. Of coz, a few days later maybe I wld take bac wat I juz said be I wld be mugging my head off in the tax computations. Arranged to meet Bui after work, but Bui had to do a lil OT at the last min, so I stayed in office till bout 6pm, n the two guys behind mi tol mi to quickly go off, becoz thiz wld be the onli chance I got to go off earli. Haha. How sad iz dat. Btw, my office hours r 0830 - 1730 hrs.

Onli my first day at work, I oredi experienced the partner gathering everione in her office for a meeting. The content was not sth to marvel or look forward to; she had toked bout the rate we got our cases out, dat thiz period of time was wat she called "SUPER-peak", n how we ought to stay back n get our work done instead of running home at 5.30pm sharp. Bubbles of "OT" came bursting on mi den.

Dat aside, my feet r so SORE!!! Sobz. I haf fat feet. Or rather, I haf slim feet in the morn which seems to blow up in the evening. I cant imagine having to be in covered-toe heels all wk! Felt realli glad to c Bui after work, though I was so hungry while waiting for Bui I tot I wld faint. Heez. Had a nice time complaining to Bui bout my blisters n of coz, a nicer time listening to him comfort mi. Haha. So nice to haf my bear ard. ^_^

Went for dinner at Food Republic. Dint haf much appetite though. Bui had wanted to treat mi to Ding Tai Fung but I rejected his kind offer, becoz I dint wan him to spend the money. I m such a gd gf yea? Muahahaha. We chilled at Starbucks after making a fruitless trip to Takashimaya, where we tot the Mitsubishi Road Show was on. Working life sux, becoz while I was at Starbucks, I kept watching the time cuz both of us had to work the next day. Booooo.

Met up wif the archery peeps for YQ's n WF's bdaes. Missed the archery gatherings so much. Went to Settlers for an evening of relaxation, n had an enjoyable time there indeed.

B4 reaching the place I met wif a couple of obstacles though. I lost one of my new earrings, which erm, I havnt worn b4. So I was veri sian. Had lost it at the bus stop. Oredi disturbed by the loss of my earring, suddenli the thought of having to get my shirt ready came to mind, n I decided to call home as soon as I thought of it cuz I dint wan to proscratinate. N so I called home n juz at the same time, I saw a bus approaching n without thinking I hopped on to the bus while trying to tok on the phone at the same time. A few stops later, I realised I was on the wrong bus. Alighted near Fullerton n hopped on a Merz cab which came by, onli to realise dat Settlers was 2 mins away. The meter onli jumped 30 cents. I was embarrassed. No wonder the cabbie gave mi dat look when I tol him where I wanted to go. Embarrassment aside, I wasted 3 bucks on the cab fare. Darn.

Feeling kinda excited now. Hmmm, of coz I m still not veri thrilled at the thought of having to wake up earli everidae, but m consoled when I think of my attachment days. Juz hafta get used to it I guess. KPMG shdnt be too new an environment, after all I had worked there b4.

I hope I wun be tested on ani knowledge-based stuff tmr. Heez.

Okie, ever since Lydia's emotional revelation, I guess all the girls got a lil emotional. Mi included.
It feels rather strange now becoz I havnt been able to write alot at one go for some reason. But aniwae, here goes:

To Lydia:
Gal, I m so glad u took the step to look bac n reflect on ur NJ days. U noe, dat iz realli the first step to totalli get the thing out of ur mind. It muz haf taken alot of courage to even think bout the bad times u had been thru, n penning it down signified dat u r ready to let it go n learn from watever happened. I m so proud of u! I m sort of swimming in a puddle of mud now, refusing to get out of it. I dun wanna write or say bout it, n neither do I wan to think bout it. But I guess itz juz a passing phase. May more good things await all of us!

To Yuxin:
Xin, saying things out sometimes amplifies the matter. I can totalli understand ur reason for not saying. I haf experienced both - saying n not saying. N I muz say I feel there iz no way out. I guess at certain times saying iz better, while at other times, keeping it to urself iz better. I guess for Lydia n I, our blogs haf proven to be veri effective means of communicating our ideas to ppl whom we wanna them noe our feelings. U dun haf to write much, juz enuf to let us noe wat iz gg on will do. Thru the few words on the screen, we can somehow magicalli feel wat u r feeling too. =)

Good luck on ur job hunting! Haha. Think I tol u on MSN le. Maybe I think too much, but I keep getting the feeling dat u r somehow not happi after u got bac from the States. I tot u missed the States too much. But dat day u tol mi u were fine, n u werent unhappi, I m glad but still the same words: Anithing anitime.

No stress on ur FYP! Haha. Endure endure. Shuang n I haf oredi stepped into the working world. Jing too. U will join us sooner than u realise! Well, I realli miss the secondary sch days when we talked on the phone everidae, bitching bout thiz n gossiping bout dat. Missed the times when the seven of us did things tgt, gg for recess n eating from the same stall, n rushing bac to the classroom b4 Mrs Lee entered it. Haha. I miss u shouting at Johnny too. Gal, I think Lydia's suggestion of using a hairdryer iz awesome. But I can understand how u feel, cuz I wld be too lazy to use the hairdryer too! Itz such a chore rite? Haha. Nv tol u thiz b4 but I haf always wanted to say, "Jiayou gal. There may be times when things juz dun go smoothly. But we haf to be brave n determined to see things thru. Jiayou at work n studies yea?"

Last jobless Saturday. Oredi made plans wif Bui to meet up on Monday after my first day of work. Haha.

Happi day wif Bui todae. We r having more n more rapport at our clothes. We kept wearing the same color these days. ;)

Watched Rush Hour 3 todae; it was quite good. Had dinner at a small cafe called Creation, n the meal was veri worth it. A soup, a drink, a main entree n a dessert for onli $15.20. Here's the meal:

Itz been a veri long time ago since I last sat down n pen wat was on my mind. Reading Lydia's blog each day made mi realise how 'wasted' I had been for the past two wks, ever since I got bac from the States.

I was n still am veri happi to be home. Honest. However, I guess a significant part of mi grew used to the life in US, the freedom n pace. Too used to it in fact. I cant find words to describe how I feel. Actualli, I guess subconsciousli I dun wan to find words to describe how I feel, cuz I m afraid to face the truth.

Days juz went by wif mi waking up at almost noon each day, savouring everi part of waking so late becoz I wld veri soon haf to wake up at 7am everidae. However, I did nothing much constructive, having my eyes glued on crunchyroll everidae, leaving things to the veri last minute. Things like getting working clothes. Keeping dat in mind, I still haf a few other things on my list. I guess the reason y the things nv get done iz becoz I m too lazy to even jot down a list.

Todae has been a kinda fruitful day becoz I haf been a good gal. I went wif my parents to my Grand Aunt's place, n den went over to haf dinner wif another Aunt hu happened to saty at Tampines too. Had a great time there; credit goes to my lil cousin hu was indeed veri entertaining. Haha. Missed the days when I was young, playing wif all my cousins at Granny's place. Good times flew, dat was more than a decade ago.

I seriousli haf to get my act tgt. I m starting work on Monday. Itz not juz a simple day to mi cuz I m officialli stepping into another stage of my life dat day. I hope more good things await mi. =)

On Wed I went to meet the gals hu haf oredi started work for lunch. Shenton lunches. I reached earli n sat there to wait for the gals. Suddenli a feeling went thru mi. I felt realli sian dat I wld soon be gg thru such waiting n 'fighting' for tables everidae. Sobz.

In the evening I met up wif YQ, Hossan, WF n Shirly. Ate at my all-time favourite food court Food Republic n went for coffee at Gloria Jeans thereafter. Did nothing but camwhore. Stoopid poses were made. Haha. We all became a kind of ball dat day. Haha. It was loads of fun!

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!!!

Went wif Bui to Robinsons n finalli got a pair of pants n a skirt. Heez. Love the color n cutting of the skirt. Been searching for such a cutting for quite some time. Glad to haf found it todae! So now I shd haf enuf clothes to last thru the first week of work at least.

Had dinner at Village, finalli eaten my fave black pepper chicken n mushroom crepe. Had soup at The Soup Spoon after dinner. It was great! Enjoyed the day juz walking ard hand in hand wif Bui, sth I appreciate deeply becoz soon there wld be less chance of doing dat. Questions remain as to wat time I get to knock off. Sigh.
