I was sent home at bout 2230 hrs juz now, much to my relief as I haf to be in at freaking 0800 hrs tmr morn!! On my way bac I heard some gunshots, nah, the sounds were the fireworks. I had forgotten there wld be fireworks everi Friday nite. On 4 July 2007, i.e. Independence Day, the fireworks had been cancelled due to the strong winds, so I figured they set everithing off tonite! Omigosh, werent the fireworks spectacular!!!
Singapore has no shortage of fireworks in the recent few years, but none of them had been as awesome as the one I saw juz now, or maybe cuz the fireworks in Singapore were always set off at a distance away from us. The fireworks I saw juz now were veri different from those in Singapore - the designs, colors, size - they were set off from the ocean shore, n I cld witness the fireworks shoot up into the sky! The boardwalk was filled wif ppl watching the fireworks, n of coz, there were police to keep everithing in order. I was actualli rushing home becoz I wanted to get a shower real quick n oso cuz I was having a gastric den. But I cldnt bring myself to go off becoz I simply had to watch the finale! Thank goodness I did. There was a loud applause at the end of the fireworks. Thumbs up from mi. Some of the fireworks were so huge I tot they were gg to fall on mi.
Tmr wld be my last day at work. Goodness gracious. I cant wait for 5pm tmr. Dat wld mark the END of Morey's Piers for mi. =)
Went to play the rides on Independence Day nite, despite the strong winds n rain. I went on the Great NorEaster, which was a roller-coaster dat went upside-down n swirled one ard. I totalli enjoyed dat ride! I went on the ride feeling real scared but before long I was enjoying myself. Haha. I managed to get a DVD of Jean n mi on the ride cuz I knew the DVD guys. Keke. Jean had her head knocked a couple of times n she came down the ride feeling giddy. Poor she. We went to Mariner's Landing as well, n I was totalli in love wif thiz ride dat spinned n went upside-down. Haha. I heart rides dat go upside-down!
To Bui: Bui, the fireworks were AWESOMEEEEE! Wish u were here wif mi. So mani times I wished u were here to go on the rides wif mi. Heeez. I m ending work tmr! My bdae iz in two days time, n I m coming home soon!!! I m so excited. I cant wait to c everione - Daddy, Mummy, Sis, Pandan Gang, SBB, YQ, WF, n of coz u Dubbie. Haf u gotten my bdae present ready?? Haha. I m sooo looking forward to coming bac. I wanna eat so mani things!! I dunno which one to start wif. To be exact, I guess I shd be bac home in 16 days. Wow. Datz realli near. I cant wait!! I cant wait to squeeze ur face again. My Dubbie stress ball iz so far away from mi now. I dunno where to vent all my frustrations! I m seriousli done wif all the nasty Americans here. Some of them r realli, ARGH. Nvm. Heez, Bui I m coming home!! Cya real soon.
