Tmr iz another off day from work. Hurray! We wld be heading down to Atlantic City (again) for some light shopping n good food!

Todae we took some pics wif some of our colleagues at Morey's Piers. But not mani ppl were ard todae cuz it was off day for mani of them.

Aniwae I was given a new ride on Sunday. The new ride iz called Shark Bite, a kiddie ride which iz in substance mini AtmosFear. It was a more relaxing job as I did not haf to be in contact wif nasty n bimbotic guests, though there was still a couple of more unreasonable parents. I had to carry the kids up the ride, which was a test of my back power. I tried to use my leg power instead of dat of back, but it was difficult. Some of the kids r realli heavy. Met wif some realli adorable kids, haha, n I had a good time watching them haf a good time. It was nice to c them wave to mi innocently. However, it was onli mi alone on thiz ride, so time seemed to pass more slowli as compared to when I was at Doo Wooper. But well, I was more than glad to be away from the nasty ppl.

I m feeling realli tired now. Fatigue iz setting in. It nv fails to creep in everi time I go to do my laundry. Maybe itz cuz we wld sit there n do nth, n unconsciousli u become conscious of the fatigue.

I hate the internet connection in my house. I m having so mani problems trying to upload photos. I haf an entry which iz gg to appear real soon! Itz gonna appear somewhere down the page, cuz I haf begun to upload the photos but I nd to touch up the entry b4 I publish it. U guys gotta read dat entry, becoz it consists of my travel photos up till now!! Haha. I had a realli hard time uploading them.

I juz woke up wif a disappointment in my heart. Todae iz the long-awaited off day, n I haf wanted to slp till 11am. Boo to mi, I woke at 9-ish. It was partly due to the sun which rose so earli, n it was bright like maybe since 7.30 in the morn. The night here iz realli short - it gets fully dark onli at 9pm, n realli bright at 7.30am. Datz so different from Singapore. I prefer dat bac at home, becoz I enjoy nites more, so I definitely love the nite to be longer.

For the past three days I had been working my head off. 14 hrs each on Saturday n Sunday, n another 11 hours yest. It was like training to be in the accounting field. For Sat n Sun it was horrible, cuz I had to be in contact wif some realli nasty guests. At some point I was realli angry at my own plight, becoz the ride I was originalli on (Doo Wooper) had two ppl initally, one of which was mi. Den a new batch of students came so a Russian gal was assigned to join us. Becoz I was trained onli as an attendant, I had no choice but to face the nasty guests when there were onli the two of us. However, even when there were three of us, I still got the horrible job becoz the Russian gal was erm, I dunno wat to say. She's nice, but I cant communicate to her. I wonder if she realli doesnt understand English. Urgh, n so it was mi against the Customers-r-always-rite guests.

Dat aside, my Russian partner iz realli pretty. Big eyes, fair skin (of coz, she's caucasian) n long eye lashes. I m realli jealous becoz I realise the ppl here dun seem to need mascara. Even little kids haf lashes like they haf been electrically curled. N yea, she looks juz like a doll. Pretty gal.

N so aniwae on Sat I finalli haf the chance to haf a go at my own ride. It wasnt some special treatment dat we cld ride for free, I was on it for a test run becoz the car was faulty! Haha. But the Doo Wooper was my baby ride, so I had absolute faith in it n I rode wif no worries. There was a video camera in the car, n it recorded everione's faces n expressions while we were on the ride. The DVD guy had previousli tol mi dat if I went on the ride some day I cld let him noe n he wld gif the DVD to mi for free! The DVD costs like USD 15 each. Heez. On Sun when I met him I mentioned I went on the ride on Sat n he said I shd haf tol him, but after dat he came bac wif the DVD aniwae. I wished he dint, becoz while I was on the ride, I forgot bout the video cam n I looked realli ugly! Haha. I watched the DVD a lil, n I stopped after a few seconds. Dint finish watching it, cuz I realli cldnt continue to watch myself! Uuuugggly.

Glad dat I had the chance to go on the ride. I wanna go on all the rides in all 3 piers, if I haf the courage to go on the realli high thrill ones.

The following iz a MAJOR backlog of wat happened n shd haf been blogged millions of years ago! Was having the no-blog mood the first few days I arrived in Wildwood, New Jersey, so I dint get down to uploading the photos n writing bout wat happened etc. After a few days when things began to settle down a lil, things had accumulated so much dat I cld onli blog the then-present n not the past! N so yah, here it iz now but itz better late than never rite! Haha.

#FIRST TIME IN NEW YORK#

#CANADA TRIP#

Nv tot dat I wld step foot on Canada. It was a realli good trip n I realised I realli love Canada, esp Toronto. The ppl there seemed more frenly than the Americans, the air was so fresh, n the gals so pretty. Haha. I was totally bowed over by the Canadian gals, they r soooooo preettttyy! Haha. Lucki Bui was not there. Nah juz joking. But realli, the Canadian gals r tall n slim n haf such sharp features. I haf always been jealous of ppl wif sharp features cuz mine r not. Once again, AHHHH so pweeetttyy!!

The first stop of out trip we visited the Corning Glass Museum. We had to pay the admission tickets for thiz which costs I tink USD12 per person, so we opted out for thiz part of the tour. Heez. The tour guide was veri nice, he went to get kids tickets for the three of us n we went in for free! N so, from dat pt onwards, we felt dat the tour guide wasnt as fierce as we tot. Prior to thiz, we were complaining dat the tour guide was veri short-tempered. Heez.

#THOUSAND ISlANDS#

The Thousand Islands are a chain of islands that straddle the US-Canada border in the Saint Lawrence River as it emerges from the northeast corner of Lake Ontario. The islands stretch for about 50 mi (80 km) downstream from Kingston, Ontario. The Canadian islands are in the province of Ontario. The U.S. islands are in the State of New York. The islands, which number 1,865 in all, range in size from over 100 km² to smaller islands occupied by a single residence, to even smaller uninhabited outcroppings of rocks that are home to migratory waterfowl. The number of islands was determined using the criteria that any island must be above water level for 365 days per year and support at least one tree or shrub.

The Thousand Islands marked the end of our Canada trip. Indeed it was an eye-opener. I rem Jun said it felt like we had seen more than wat we did for so mani years withing a short span of 3 days. It felt so true.

#NEW YORK #

The day began wif us setting off at 5.30am from our house n walking to the bus-stop to catch the bus to Atlantic City, where we wld transit n head for New York Port Authority Bus Terminal.

We bought a one day unlimited Metro card for the subway, n indeed we took quite a few rides on the subway dat day! Each Metro card costs USD7, n it was realli worth it becoz otherwise each subway trip wld cost USD2. We took bout 5 times if I dint rem wrongly.

Our first stop was the South Seaport becoz we wanted to go to TKTS to get our tickets for Broadway! We decided on Les Miserables becoz it was a classic.

The highlight of Chinatown was to buy lotsa Chinese stuff bac to Wildwood for cooking n of coz eating real Chinese food there! We bought stuff like green bean, herbal tea etc, n though I had veri much wanted to buy mushrooms, I dint cuz I felt it was too expensive.

Jun n I had gone to Chinatown in the hope dat we wld be able to drink soya bean milk, but in both the HK cafes we went to, soya bean milk was sold out! URGH. Totalli furious.

N so I ended up drinking red date honey n eating an egg tart.

The next stop was to try out New York cheesecake! On our way there we saw thiz building in fire, n lots of fire engines were rushing to put out the fire. However, we were rather surprised becoz the fire engines came like quite some time later.

Alrite the above iz a summary of the places I haf been to thus far. Not an exhaustive one, but it captures the crux of the trips. More trips to come in the days ahead becoz we wld be gg bac to New York for places like Central Park, Empire State Building etc, oso we wld be gg Washinton DC. Keep a look-out for ani updates. Haha.
